Collected here are 45 years of various forms of collaboration with many artistic friends as well as other socially involved people. The issues brought forth by the explosions of Atomic bombs in the 1940's-1950's are at the center of the subject. I combine images of scarred survivors, Atomic bombs, with American survivors and inheritors who are the "Adam and Eves," of a new race; we are the first peoples of a new race on Earth, "atom and eve."
From the time I was a child, the photograph has held fascination for me. The images are synthetic, created in the digital space of the computer. I still find countless new worlds and new ways of seeing that were impossible before modern technology . I work as an individual artist, and also in collaborations. "Degrees of Freedom" is a modern artists studio. "The bomb that fell on Hiroshima fell on America too."
Images are for sale.

A Photographer's Prayer 1975-2007
It is good to pay attention to the Taking that photography is. I remember my first camera, a box, a Brownie.
I was 8, and took it in the car, as my family traveled To the Grand Canyon. There, I took my first photographs, A Navajo family posed In the landscape.
Camera to eye, look, click Shutter of the camera, listen.
An attempt at Fidelity.
Fusion, a melding of light and shadow, an ecliptic moment, perspective altered,
Permutations of present and future.
Therein lies the commitment.
Born in the movement Of the shutter. Photographer and photographed never the same as before the taking. In the movement of the shutter A photographer's prayer
The act of Change. |
